It’s the same old song, but one we can’t
help singing: Always let us know where you are residing and a few
other things besides:
Let’s recap:
The kind of information we MOST need from you to
facilitate a timely check distribution, W2 mailing or general Fund
business:
- A current address, phone number, fax and/or email,
Social Security and/or Social Insurance number (if Canadian), and/or
U.S. Taxpayer Identification number and birthdate for foreign born
individuals living domestically or abroad.
- If you have a Social Security number (U.S. residents)
or a Social Insurance number (Canadian residents), we need to know
by which designation you are taxed.
Why?
The more we know about you, the better we can assist
you and ensure there will be no delays in the execution and prompt
receipt of your distribution check as well as any other important
Fund information.
TIMELINE wasn’t just a book and a movie title…
Please, also be aware that any time you receive a
check from us there is a 90 day timeline on its
validity. If your check is not cashed within that time period, the
bank will not honor
it and you may incur bank fees for what is then called a stale-dated
check. At this point, another hassle ensues: returning the check
and waiting for a new one! Depending on our activity schedule, we
may not be able to issue a replacement check for a couple of weeks.
To avoid such delays, please be careful with your check.
Yes, it is the same old song, but the feeling is just as strong—we want
to provide the best service possible and we can, with your help.
