21 is a federal law that went into effect October 28, 2004. It is designed
to enable banks to
handle more checks electronically. Many people are unsure of what
this new law means to them. Following is a link to The Federal Reserve
Board
that provides information regarding questions related to Check 21.
We hope you find it informative.

Remember, checks from The Film
Musicians Secondary Markets Fund ("the Fund") are valid for 90 days
from the issued date. The Fund does not issue checks during the month
of
December in order to prepare for the new calendar year and tax season.
If you have a stale dated check
(a check beyond the 90-day limit), you can request to have it reissued
in writing. Be sure to include your original signature.
If you have any questions regarding
stale dated checks, direct deposit or address updates, contact the
Fund’s Research department at (818) 755-7777.
